ugh. I am doing a little crafting but not much. I haven’t written in months because nothing has been exciting or creative in months. I have 3 blogs and all are blank…maybe I should quit them? I’m not sure. Just a refresher, you can find me here:

Quilt show goodies April 22, 2007

Filed under: Sewing — essieandeisbar @ 7:39 pm

The quilt show was a blast. There were so many vendors! And the quilts were just absolutely AWESOME! I got so inspired. I can’t believe we closed out the place! (10am to 7pm).

Here is a sampling of my favs:

Of course I was a complete dunderhead and didn’t write down any people’s names. I know!

I picked up a lot of patterns and have already finished one kit from Tammy Tadd Designs (LOVE HER!).

They are reversible watch bands! So cool, I can’t wait to make a trillion more! Anyways, plenty of things to do and no time to do it. I love what’s going on on the craft world these spring days. Thanks for the inspiration lovelies!

Hey March, could you bring back February? March 20, 2007

Filed under: diddya wanna know? — essieandeisbar @ 8:17 pm

‘Cuz boy has 2007 gotten away from me already. It seems like just yesterday I had company from CA and was all set to post those pictures and now. Smarch! (Simpsons fans..please?)

So, to my two person readership. I’m back. I wish I had a flickr pro account, because I’d be postin’ all the things I forgot to mention when I blog. I love visual blogging! A picture is worth a thousand words!

Here’s my recap:

In February my friend Adrianna came to visit. This about sums it up:img_3383.JPG

I didn’t do much crafting in February. And I think I might have made some people mad at me because I was really late on a swap. I felt so bad, but I couldn’t ignore some personal problems. I’m not going to do any more swaps. I HATE disappointing people.

M’s school had a dance called the “Eye Ball”. It was like winter formal for graduate students

And then it was March. And then it was the first day of spring! It seems like all of a sudden, the snow is gone, the days are brighter and the weather is (slightly) warmer. I feel like I need to be outside all the time and constantly doing something!

I’m currently working on two small quilts. I won’t divulge much right now, other than they are gifties.

Speaking of gifties! Look at the lovely gift Eisbär received from my crafster buddy.

< Please ignore the messy room. > Isn’t that the CUTEST! I think it should be considered apart of the Granny Along.

Well, I’m going to craft in stealth for awhile.  Maybe I’ll just post a picture every couple of days.  Perhaps that will make me feel useful!

I’m not really a valentines kinda girl. I only like it for the flowers. And not those gosh darn red roses either. I’m talkin’ pink tulips, lilies, and daisies! SPRING is on it’s way! Forget all that love crap stuff. I belive in celebrating all year long.

Like celebrating food. I’ve decided that the reason why it’s taken me 3 years to stay at the same weight is because i’m obsessed with food. Then I binge. Then I’m great. Then I binge. So, I’m giving up dieting all together. And I’m enjoying my food. I’m going to focus on other areas of my life, like enjoying my hobbies, working hard, and strengthening relationships that are 2,009 miles apart. This past weekend M and I went to a little inde grocery store and picked up some eclairs. It was an amazing experience. I LOVE eclairs. And I am glad I savored it.

I could totally devour these though.

What have I been doing? I’m sure that’s the burning question on ALL your minds! {all two that read this :D} Well…mostly I’ve been planing. Planning my swaps, planning my friend’s trip here in two weeks, and planning my nest before my mother visits in April. As you can see, I’m an AWESOME planner. Not a very good doer.

I DID finish my labor of love. I did the betty shopper for my neice’s 18th {and 1 month, NOW} birthday. The pattern was classic amy butler. She writes like she’s telling you in first hand. However, it can be difficult to read it. I’m VERY much a picture person, so the more pictures the better. My only problem came when joining the lining and the exterior. The side seams are not pretty. I’m not sure the reason why, but it could have been that the lining had more give than the exterior. Also, it was a pain to get the handles through the gromits. I had to have the strenght of 10 men, plus 2.

ANYWAYS, here is is, with a lovely model to boot

He’s ready to go!

The inside, very pockety.

Otherwise, it’s been pretty darn cold here. No matter what anyone says, I feel that the first winter will be the hardest winter for us because it’s nothing like we’ve ever experienced. The dog sits in front of the heater and sleeps in her coat. The other day there was ice crawling up the windows…guess it’s time to make those window snakes!

Weekend Endavors + Swap Happy! January 22, 2007

Filed under: Birthdays, Family, Sewing, Swaps — essieandeisbar @ 10:48 am

This weekend was a little lazy but productive. I worked some more on my neice’s bag. I can only do so much because my pinched nerve starts acting up and then my back hurts.  I am reinforcing ALL seams in some way or some how because I want this bag to last a very VERY long time!

Also! I’m apart of something, AGAIN! I’ve up and joined TWO swaps!

The first is a “Newbie Swap” over at craftster. My swapper, Crystal, is super cool and I can’t wait for her to get the things I send her!

The second is the Potholder Swap over at The Happy Zombie. How cool are potholders? So cool!

Sneaky sneaky… January 18, 2007

I do love my books.  Back in CA, there is a small, but ample storage unit with my name on it.  In it is a unused fridge, some things my parents can fit into their gigantor storage unit…and boxes.  2 of those boxes are memorabilia…1 is the final crafts…and 11 of them are books.

Yes, 11.

When I was home for the holidays, I went through all those boxes to make sure I absolutely loved each book.  I went from 13 boxes to 11.  Plus, I managed to sneak all these into my suitcases:
